Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BulkDataMover handles merchant, staff, shop, and product/catalog data when you install or use the app.

Effective date: August 14, 2026Provider: Tunabear Inc
Summary: BulkDataMover is designed to work with Shopify product/catalog data. It does not request access to customer, order, checkout, or shopper personal data.

1. Who we are

BulkDataMover is provided by Tunabear Inc, located at 11711 Hillcrest Rd. Dallas, TX 75230-3109.

Privacy questions can be sent to support@bulkdatamover.com. Product/support questions can be sent to support@bulkdatamover.com.

2. Data we collect

Data collected through the Shopify API

  • Product/catalog data. The app reads and, when you instruct it to, writes product information used by its catalog-management features, including product fields such as titles, SEO metadata, tags, product type, vendor, status, and variant pricing/compare-at pricing.
  • Shop information. The app uses information such as your myshopify.com domain and shop currency to scope your store’s data and display prices correctly.

Data collected from merchants and staff

  • Authentication/session data. Shopify provides authentication information when you install and use the app, including an OAuth access token and identifying fields returned for the logged-in staff user, such as name, email address, locale, user ID, and account-owner/collaborator flags.
  • App-generated records. BulkDataMover stores records needed to provide the service, including change-history entries, per-field before/after values, timestamps, monthly usage counts, saved edit/tag-rule templates, and scheduled edits.
  • Preferences. Certain interface preferences, such as column visibility, may be stored in your browser’s local storage on your device.

Data collected from merchants’ customers

None. BulkDataMover does not request Shopify customer, order, checkout, or shopper-data permissions and does not intentionally collect or store shopper personal data.

3. How we use data

  • Authenticate your session and associate app data with the correct Shopify store.
  • Display product/catalog information inside BulkDataMover.
  • Preview, apply, record, and where supported, revert product/catalog edits that you instruct the app to make.
  • Provide filtering, scheduled actions, tag-rule, CSV, SEO, and related catalog-management functionality.
  • Enforce plan limits and determine which app features are available to your subscription tier.
  • Provide the optional AI SEO feature when an eligible merchant chooses to use it.

We do not sell your data or use your store data for advertising.

4. AI SEO feature and sub-processors

If you use the optional AI SEO feature, BulkDataMover sends relevant product fields—such as product title, vendor, product type, tags, and existing SEO title/meta-description text—to a third-party AI provider so that it can generate suggested SEO text.

  • AI sub-processor: REPLACE_AI_PROVIDER.
  • No customer, order, checkout, or shopper personal data is intentionally sent to the AI provider because BulkDataMover does not request access to that data.
  • The AI feature is used only when you have access to it and actively request AI-generated suggestions.
  • AI-generated suggestions are presented for review before you choose whether to apply them.

5. Infrastructure and data location

BulkDataMover runs on REPLACE_HOSTING_PROVIDER_AND_REGION. App/session records are stored in the app’s database on that infrastructure.

App data is stored and processed in REPLACE_DATA_STORAGE_REGION. The AI provider may process the product fields submitted to it in REPLACE_AI_PROVIDER_REGION.

Where required, international data transfers will be handled using REPLACE_TRANSFER_SAFEGUARD_OR_APPLICABLE_MECHANISM.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain app data for the life of the installation as needed to provide BulkDataMover’s functionality.

When you uninstall BulkDataMover, Shopify sends the app a shop-redaction request after the applicable Shopify waiting period. Upon receiving that request, BulkDataMover is designed to erase the store’s app data, including change history, usage counts, edit templates, scheduled edits, and sessions.

BulkDataMover also responds to Shopify’s mandatory privacy/compliance webhook requests. You may contact support@bulkdatamover.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information where applicable law provides those rights.

7. Security

Data transmitted between your browser, BulkDataMover, and Shopify is sent over TLS/HTTPS. Access to Shopify store data is authenticated through Shopify OAuth and scoped to the store that installed the app.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal information about you, such as rights to access, correct, export, delete, object to, or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact support@bulkdatamover.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest published version. Material changes may be communicated through the app, this website, or another appropriate channel.
